Tents set up in the snow at Camp Illinek for the January Klondike Derby. The temperature was 7 Fahrenheit (-14 C). This is the Troop 3 campsite for the Klondike Derby. The boys slept in Raptor Lodge, which they made with poles and rope and canvas tents (on the right in the image above). Assistant Scoutmaster Hadley-Ives and Scoutmaster Acs were dressed for the weather and remained reasonably comfortable.

Inside Raptor Lodge, Bradley, Arthur, and Nathan are trying to sleep, but the flash from the camera blinds them. At the start of the day, the boys pose with their sledge (Mike sitting on it). Micah, Dakota, Nathan, and Bradley can be seen in this photograph. Dakota started to turn red in the cold, although in the day the temperatures were up in the low 20s (around -5 C).

Scouts of Troop Three consider how to help someone who needs first aid at the February first aid meet.
