June 16th: Sebastian‘s Birthday.On June 16th we celebrated Sebastian’s 17-year-old birthday. We invited some students and some faculty from Heilongjiang University, and about thirty people came to join us for an informal dinner and some good conversation. |

| Cabbage and mushrooms. | A chicken dish that would be familiar with many Americans, as this particular sort of chicken is part of Chinese-American cuisine. | Potato, eggplant, and bell peppers; one of the best vegetarian dishes. |
