There is no class session after this. The sixteenth class session would be the week of finals, but that is not a full week. This session guide goes over what you ought to do for both the 15th session and what you should complete during finals week.

Activity One

Activity Two

Fill out the UIS course evluation form, which is due on the last day of classes.

Activity Three

Finish your grand challenges paper, and finish your learning journal, and write your end-of-semester self-evaluation. You can put everything together in one document to submit it, or submit it in different places in Canvas.

Activity Four

If you miss the last class, the 15th session, you need to record your presentation and upload it somewhere, so you can earn some points. Send the link to the instructor.

Activity Five

Post a little in the discussion board for this session.

Discussion Question 15-1: Check in and tell us about flowers

How is the final moment of the semester for you? For most people, it's hectic. And, additionally, what are your favorite flowers? that is, what variety of flowers do you most like, for their beauty, or their fragrance, or the good pleasure you take from growing them, or whatever?

Discussion Question 15-2:

What do you think you will remember from this course? What is likely to stick with you and become part of your way of seeing the world? What changes have you experienced in your world view or your thinking because of your experiences in this course?

What are your plans for the week or two after you finish up this class? Are you goign to celebrate the end of the semester? Will there be a party?

Discussion Question 15-4:

Has this class and your experience in this class made you more likely to get involved in civic activism, policy practice, social movement activism, or involvement with groups that are working to transform society? What is different about your intentions and desires in this respect compared to how you felt at the start of the semster? If you already felt strongly that you wanted to be an activist, has anything you learned in this class given you new ideas about how to be an effective activist?

This is the last class session.

Our 15th class is scheduled for December 1st. I will give you time to prepare your paper, your presentation on your Grand Challenge, and finishing up your experiential learning assignments, so we will not have Zoom class on the 24th. However, we will get together on December 1st on Zoom.
